It’s the last word in luxury – with stunning views, a cinema and a home gym.

Top comedian Patrick Kielty, who has settled in the US with his wife Cat Deeley, is giving up the couple’s plush Northern Ireland base.

The eye-catching retro-style detached house in the star’s home town of Dundrum has just gone on the market with an asking price of offers over £400,000.

Boasting a stylish interior befitting his celebrity status, the luxury pad enjoys a prime location overlooking Dundrum Bay and the Mourne Mountains.

It has been extensively renovated by Kielty with new floor to ceiling bi-folding windows in most of the main rooms to maximise the beauty of the views.

Whoever moves in will not have to change a single thing as high-end designer finishes throughout include solid wooden floors, porcelain tiling and luxury state-of-the art kitchen and wet rooms.

The interior reveals something of the lifestyle enjoyed by the celebrity pair and reflects the Co Down comedian’s playful side with a games room, cinema room and home gym complete with mirrored walls.

It’s also where the funnyman penned some of his best material in his “writing room”, where a fitted drinks cabinet was on hand either for a celebratory toast or for those sticky moments when inspiration just wouldn’t come.

The kitchen where the couple would rustle up cosy meals for two during visits home is state-of-the-art and features a dream dining area surrounded by large picture windows capturing the beauty of Kielty’s native landscape.

The showbiz couple, who tied the knot in 2012, conducted a long-distance relationship for several months after their marriage when Cat landed her own show, Hollywood House Calls with Cat Deeley, in LA.

But last year they were captured in Heathrow airport when Kielty revealed he had given up the long commute back and forth across the pond to join his wife for good in the warmer climes of Los Angeles.

He told reporters: “I love the UK. Obviously it is where we come from but LA is such a great way of life I can’t see us moving back yet. It’s too bloody cold in the UK.”

Patrick (42) and Cat (37) have been friends since they hosted one of the original TV talent shows Fame Academy together from 2002.

While permanent residents in America, they are regularly seen in Northern Ireland and have posted Twitter and Instagram pictures of themselves together here.

In May, the couple celebrated climbing to the top of Slieve Donard, not far from Kielty’s pad, by posting a picture of Cat in a ‘Rocky’ pose after reaching the peak.

They also posted a joint selfie which was captioned ‘Woohooooooo! Made the top…’
