Who you work for Bladon & Co Residential Property Consultant

What brought you into the business?

Having completed a property degree at university and coming from a property background, I have always had an interest in this field. Earlier this year, I was approached to join the Bladon & Co team and have never looked back.

Who has inspired you in the property world?

I am inspired by businesses and people that can be successful and dynamic in an ever-changing economic climate.

What do you have sitting on your desk?

Computer, Blackberry, note pad, diary, property files and cup of coffee.

Downtime is?

During the week, I enjoy a trip to the cinema or gym and on weekends it varies between a night out in Belfast or going back home to Wexford.

Do you do lunch?

I live just around the corner from our Belfast office so I either grab something at home or go for lunch in one of the great places we have on the Lisburn Road.

What qualifications do you think are essential for an estate agent?

Great people skills coupled with the ability to tailor your services to meet individual needs, attention to detail and the ability to respond quickly to your client’s needs.

What did you want to be when you were a child?

I wanted to be a journalist or a writer as I always liked English at school and I love to read.

If you could give it all up tomorrow, where in the world would you move to, and what would you do?

I would move to an island off the coast of Thailand and teach English in a school.

Any unfulfilled ambitions?

Plenty, but I’d refer to them as goals to work towards rather than unfulfilled ambitions.

What is the most common misconception people have about estate agents?

That we’re all money driven. Providing a good quality service and maintaining a good reputation is what’s most important.

Top tip for house-hunters?:

Firstly, have your finances in order – know what you can afford. Choose your area carefully, do your homework and be ready to move when you find the right property.
