Two friends and business partners have opened a new estate agency in Belfast, employing six staff.

Natasha Rodgers and Kirsty Finney established Rodgers & Finney which is believed to be the first new estate agency to open in the area for many years.

Both ladies have a background in the property industry. Ms Finney was award the Young Agent of the Year 2016/17 by Property News while Ms Rodgers has many years of experience being a family member of the Rodgers and Browne property firm.

Ms Finney spoke to the Belfast Telegraph expressing that the friends wanted to establish a service that would have customers “shouting from the rooftops.”

“We want to do it right and provide a service to clients that gets us referrals,” she said.

“We want people to say they sold their home, or bought a home with us, and it was a great experience.

“Too often you hear many buyers talking about bad service and we want to change that.”

The estate agency opened their doors last month in Ballyhackamore and business is going “brilliantly,” Ms Finney highlighted.

“We’re in our fourth week and it’s been amazing. We’ve sold two properties and we’re just about to secure a sale on another,” she said.

Ballyhackamore, in East Belfast, was chosen as the location for Rodgers & Finney due to its high concentration of estate agents.

Ms Rodgers continued: “While our business is new, we do have many years of experience and our own unique style of service.

“No two days are the same and from sourcing homes for businesses, individuals and sports stars to making sure a new mover to the city can settle quickly, we both get immense satisfaction from working with people to buy a house and make it their home.

“Kirsty and I are both under 30 so we’re really proud to now have our own business with our names above the door.”

“It is still early days but we would definitely love to say, in a couple of years, that we are opening another office,” Ms Finney added.
