PINKERTON’S RAISE £1,865 for NICHS
LOCAL estate agency Pinkertons has raised a whooping £1,865for the Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke Association.
Staff have worked hard over the past 12 months on a series of fund raising events from coffee mornings to sporting events and even a sponsored Christmas jumper day.
Managing Director Victoria Pinkerton says that knowing the vital support NICHS provide across Northern Ireland and the impact even the smallest donation can have, it was with great pride that she was able to present the charity with a cheque on behalf of the company for £1,865.54.
Victoria said: “The effects of a chest, heart or stroke illness is not just physical; it affects sufferers emotionally and socially and whilst medical intervention is essential, people with long-term health conditions also need support and guidance to manage their conditions, and lives on a daily basis.
“This is why we chose Northern Ireland Chest, Heart & Stroke as our Charity Partner 12 months ago and we will be continuing our Corporate Partnership for a further 12 months”.
Today in Northern Ireland 10 people will suffer a heart attack, 11 will have a stroke and one in every eight deaths will result from respiratory failure.
