The excitement has started to build as the property world gets ready to celebrate its biggest stars at a glittering black tie event – the Belfast Telegraph Property Awards 2015 in association with propertynews.com.
After a tough few years, we are thrilled to be helping to mark a bright new era for the industry with a gala event that’s not only back as a highlight of the corporate calendar, but is even bigger and better than before.
This year we have a new spread of categories toasting every aspect of the property sector, both commercial and residential. Hosted by Wendy Austin, the 2015 Belfast Telegraph Property Awards gala lunch will take place on Friday, November 20 in the Culloden Hotel, Holywood, with judging taking place early next month.
A wide-reaching range of categories will give everyone within the industry a chance to spotlight their talents and achievements.
Independent News and Media (NI) managing director Richard McClean said: “For many years Belfast Telegraph’s Property Awards were held in the highest esteem throughout the local property sector.
“In deference to the challenges faced by the sector, we then rested the awards for a period. The time is now right to reinstate them, but with new categories, refreshed and re-energised.
“As before, the award categories will be designed to encompass every aspect of the sector – residential and commercial – but with additional recognition opportunities for related businesses such as interior design and architecture. We are now welcoming entries and look forward to a fabulous celebratory event in November.”
An eminent panel of judges will be challenged with the task of selecting the winners.
Chaired by Professor Alastair Adair PVC (Development) and Provost Ulster University, they also include Arlene Elliott, president of the NI Law Society; John Armstrong, CEO of the Construction Employers Federation; Nicola McCrudden of the Chartered Institute of Housing; Derek Wilson, chair of Council of Mortgage Lenders (Ulster Bank); Dr Jenny Muir, School of Planning, Architecture and Civil Engineering at QUB; David Little, National House Building Council, and Daryl McIntosh, National Association of Estate Agents.
Commenting on the launch of this year’s awards, Professor Adair said: “The much anticipated return of the Belfast Telegraph Property Awards reflects the welcome emerging recovery of Northern Ireland’s property sector.
“There has been much change in the property sector in recent years, but these Property Awards provide an opportunity to recognise the companies which have weathered an extremely difficult economic period and continue to grow and offer excellent services.”
The awards aim to give everyone in the industry – agencies, developers and young agents – an ideal platform to showcase their outstanding work.
To this end, the 11 categories have been designed to encompass every aspect of the sector – residential and commercial, but with additional recognition opportunities for related businesses such as interior design and architecture.
