Sitting proudly on the Sandown Road in Belfast, the Sandown Manor over 55s complex has become one of Belfast’s most popular new developments.  Now in the final phase of completion, there are only four apartments currently for sale.

In the Grade B II listed Manor House, the remaining two bedroom apartment is a stunning duplex.  Beautifully designed with a fabulous kitchen, conservatory and large patio area, this apartment offers more than 1,500 square feet of interior space.  The second duplex apartment offers three bedrooms, a large terrace and more than 2,000 square feet of interior space.

Both of these apartments feature their own private lift.  Many period features remain to ensure the character of the building has not only been retained, but embraced.  The original staircase, hall fireplace and Italian stained glass windows all remain.  The traditional styling is complemented by contemporary kitchens, bathrooms and en suites, all finished to the highest specification. These sensational residences present a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a truly spectacular home.

The Manor House is set in the centre of a three acre estate which is steeped in history.  The land, which belonged to The Honourable Robert Edward Ward of Bangor Castle, was bought by Robert Corry in 1887.  Mr Corry, a master builder and a Justice of the Peace, completed the house in 1891 and lived there with his wife, five children and a servant.  In 1919 The Manor House was bought by Sir Frederick Rebbeck, Chairman of Harland and Wolffe.  Up until the 1950s, a railway line ran along where the Comber Highway is now.  A private halt outside the Manor House provided Sir Frederick with an exclusive means of transport to work.  The estate was then bought by the Glover family in 1964 who resided there for 35 years.

Only two one bedroom apartments remain for sale in Block 1.  Priced from £66,000 these apartments are not expected to remain on the market for long.

Fraser Homes is dedicated to building quality homes and Sandown Manor is a very high quality development as proven by Site Manager Stephen Orr.  Stephen topped the NHBC NI and Isle of Man multistory builder category for his work on the Sandown Manor.

Sandown Manor, the first over 55s development of its kind in Northern Ireland, has proven to be very popular.  The gated complex comprises four luxury apartment blocks set in a stunning three acre woodland estate close to Ballyhackamore.  Residents enjoy the benefits of luxury apartment living and beautiful, mature gardens with the knowledge that all external maintenance is taken care of by the Estate Manger.  Fraser Homes aims to maximise the security, independence and privacy of residents as well as developing a community.  Picnic and barbeque areas in the grounds set the scene for socialising, as does the walking path around the perimeter of the development.
