Inside millionaire mansion on Belfast’s Malone Road – yours for just £1.5m

This impressive family home was designed for its current owner by local architect Kevin Coogan and built to what is a very precise standard by Patton Homes around 22 years ago.

It sits on a premium plot of 0.8 of an acre just off the prestigious Upper Malone Road close to Malone and Dunmurry Golf Clubs.

It is in every sense a very fine residence which extends to over 6,000 sq ft.

For the interior the architect was inspired by the grandeur of late 18th and early 19th century designs so that this modern build also captures a lovely sense of the stateliness of that era with its high ceilings, ornate centre pieces and cornicing.

There are three reception rooms and five bedrooms, three with en suites, and the extensive accommodation is serviced by two staircases at the front and back of the house.

Cast iron gates open onto a brick driveway which cuts through large immaculate lawns bordered by mature trees and sweeping to the front of the house.

Double entrance doors flanked by stone columns open first to a porch and then into a grand reception hall.

Here solid ash doors, architraves, skirtings, with matching wood panelling along the stairs, add a rich touch to a spacious hallway, further enhanced by decorative cornices and mouldings.

Double ash doors open onto the drawing room where four windows and a marble fireplace give the room immense character and again there is a ceiling rose and cornicing all combining to create a grand and elegant space.

The dining room also resembles the style of a period manor house with its huge bay window and ornate marble fireplace, ceiling rose, cornicing and light oak strip floor.

On to the living room and another bright room with three windows this time including sliding patio doors which open to a double glazed conservatory.

Bespoke cherry wood units topped with granite give a warm and luxurious feel to the large kitchen/living/breakfast room.

This has a feel of a lovely family hub and there is plenty of counter workspace to prepare your meals with lots of space for the children to relax and keep you company while you cook. It comes with an integrated double oven and dishwasher.

The ground floor accommodation also includes a cloakroom with separate WC and a utility room with separate WC.

Up any of the two staircases you arrive at a spacious landing where you will find all of the bedrooms each of which have been carefully styled and fitted with a great range of bespoke storage units.

The master has a stunning large bay window and comes with twin his and hers wardrobes, finished with a laminate wood effect floor. The en suite is luxurious with heated mirrors, a vanity unit and large shower.

The second bedroom has lovely hand painted double built in robes with drawers and en suite while bedroom three has been fitted with robes, a desk and drawer unit with matching headboard and bedside tables.

Bedroom four which also has its own en suite is fitted with a built in dressing table with shelving above it and flanked on each side by double built in robes.

Bedroom five has lovely maple built in robes.

The family bathroom is pure decadence with a show stopping sunken bath with body jets set into a raised platform surrounded by bespoke Roman style ornate columns.

This opulent room also comes with a shower and steam cubicle, a bidet, pedestal wash hand basin and low flush WC.

There is also a study on the first floor with a built in desk and drawers with overhead storage and a billiards room.

Outside and there is a triple attached garage with Beam vacuum system and store room.

In the magnificent private grounds you will find a quaint summer house, plus lots of mature trees, shrubs and pretty flowerbeds.
