House prices in Northern Ireland rise by 4.4%

Official figures have shown that the average house price in Northern Ireland is now £129,000.

These figures highlight a rise of 4.4% over the year, according to a report by the Office for National Statistics, the Land Registry and other bodies.

The report shows that the north west of England seen the largest increase for house growth over the year while London witnessed the lowest annual increase in the UK.

Averages prices rose by 5% in the year to August, up from an annual rise of 4.5% in July. House prices also increased by 0.5% month-on-month. This increase takes the average UK property value to £226,000, an £11,000 increase from August last year.
