So the house may not be situated on another planet in another galaxy, but the beautiful backdrop of Captain Jean-Luc Picard’s glorious holiday home in Yorkshire Dales is certainly out of this world.

Sir Patrick Stewart, who played the ever famous Star Trek character, has owned the holiday home for 25 years and it is priced at a staggering £535,000.

The dwelling has wonderful original country life features, including an inglenook fireplace with the original cooking recesses.

Located a mile from the closest village of Hebden which has only a post office, a pub and a church and two miles from the nearest town which has more amenities including restaurants and a school.

His agent has said the house was his perfect retreat because it allowed him to get away from it all and admire the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales in peace.

The property, which is named Scar Top House, was originally built in 1680 and is built of stone. There are exposed beams in the interior and boasts breath-taking views from most of the windows.

The gardens of the property include a large paved area with seating arrangements, perfect for outside dining on a summer’s day and also provide the perfect place to take in the surroundings.

With the star studded price tag you will also get a double garage and a workshop. The workshop is a detached stone hut with oil-fired boiler included.

The property also boasts quarry tiled floors, windows with seating areas and a huge roof space. Leading up to the property consists of a five bar gate and a driveway.

The kitchen room within the property includes two stone pillars and is open plan leading through to the dining room, which includes a view to and from the gallery landing.

The house proudly sits on more than 1.6 acres of gardens, with beautiful well maintained sloping grasslands.
