City centre chic at Belfast’s FX apartments

A unique concept of city centre living has been unveiled in Belfast with the launch of the show FX apartments. With interiors styled by a team of top London designers, these Belfast apartments offer stylish and chic décor.

These new one-bedroom apartments are located just off the sought-after Chichester Street that rests only 100 yards from City Hall.

This FX development is Belfast’s first apartment building with its own residents’ lounge. This lounge is the ideal space to relax, work, or catch up with friends before a night out in the city’s premier restaurant district.

An array of top Belfast restaurants are only a stone’s throw away from the FX apartments, including The Merchant Hotel, Cloth Ear, Six by Nico, The Spaniard Bar, Yugo, Deanes and Ox.

However, you do not have to leave the apartment block to dine in luxury due to the residents’ rooftop terrace. Along with this terrace, there is also a concierge and well-equipped fitness suite.

From the stylings of the lobby, you would be forgiven for thinking you stepped into a five-star hotel. With large mirrors and doors, the lobby is a luxurious space that sets the scene for the rest of the building perfectly.

This remarkable detail is continued into the one-bedroom apartments.

The layout and design of the FX apartments is a collaboration between architects Povall Worthington and interior specialists Day True. Their influence and expertise can be felt from the living spaces to the kitchen.

Day True is one of the capitals sought after architectural interior teams with showrooms in Chelsea, Maida Vale and Wimbledon.

From London to Belfast, their reputation for exceptional kitchens and bathrooms lives on in the FX development. Day True have succeeded in creating a stylish design with specification expertise along with making use of every square foot available in the one-bedroom apartments.

Tony Robson, one half of the husband and wife interior business, summarises their approach to FX: “Good design has the power to improve lives. That’s why we interpret space using ideas, not measuring tape.

“It means our suggestions and solutions for FX fit and enhance the lives of the residents, not just their apartment. Bigger thoughts that make every square foot earn its keep; intelligent use of light and colour; quality materials designed to look gorgeous and work beautifully for years.

“A development as pioneering and unique as FX demands that every aspect be carefully considered and curated. It’s been our great pleasure to be involved with the FX vision from the start. Seeing it come to life makes all the creative decision-making worthwhile.”

Day True has also built close relationships with some of the world’s best appliances and accessories manufactures. These manufactures can also be found in every apartment in the FX development.

These premium brands include: Axor, Hansgrohe, Jesse, Rexa, and Rotpunkt.

Doors, handles and light switches have been made by Buster + Punch. While their smoked bronze appearance emits an industrial aesthetic, the diamond cut knurled finish gives it a luxurious appearance.

The kitchen, living area and dining space is open plan, allowing the space to be illuminated with natural light.

The kitchen is a contemporary area with an in-built hot water tap which keeps the kitchen surfaces appliance-free and a Siemens oven which also steam cooks and microwaves. This maximises cupboard space. An induction hob also boils water in half the time of a normal hob. Combined together, this kitchen makes a real difference to how you live.

Simon Brien of selling agents Simon Brien Residential says: “The attention to detail, quality and style at FX, including the residents lounge, gym, concierge and roof top garden is a first for the Belfast city centre apartment market.

“Purchasers have appreciated this unique development with over 28 of the apartments sold off plan prior to the show apartments opening. The purchasers are first time buyers, people looking for a city centre base or investors who wish to purchase a property in the city centre due to the excellent rental demand.”
