Rio Ferdinand took a price hit but has found a buyer for his home in Alderley Edge, Cheshire.
The former England and Manchester United football star, now in Russia as a BBC World Cup pundit, was asking £4.5 million for the seven bedroom house but sold it for £3 million.
He had lived there with wife Rebecca Ellison, mother of his three children, who died from cancer three years ago at the age of 34.
The lavish home has a swimming pool, Jacuzzi and a gym.
Ferdinand (39) is dating former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star Kate Wright (27) who gave up her own home in Essex to move to Cheshire.
The couple are now looking for a new home together in London.
