The Chapel development in Belfast’s Donegall Park Gardens is sure to impress.

A listed former church in north Belfast has been beautifully transformed into four luxury apartments that contain an abundance of magnificent architectural features.

The Chapel development consists of four high specification homes within the former Church of Ireland building. The Gothic style of this property is truly spectacular.

There are three two-bedroom and one one-bedroom apartments for sale at the Donegall Park Gardens development. Prices start at £189,950 and rise to £269,950.

Having laid derelict for several years, the church once again stands tall, thanks to the developers who left no stone unturned and painstakingly restored the external fabric.

This sandstone building was originally designed for the third Marquis of Donegall as a memorial to his son Frederick Richard, the Earl of Belfast.

While travelling through Europe in 1853, Frederick passed at the age of 25. The chapel was completed 16 years later in 1869.

In 1938, ownership was transferred to the Church of Ireland. Sunday services were held until 1965.

This building was bought by Alskea Ltd. This multi award-winning development company has sensitively transformed the interior of the building into four unique turnkey homes.

This fully refurbished listed chapel is in line with Historic Environment Division and Conservation Architect specifications and approvals. Great care was taken to restore the property to its original beauty.

The interior has been finished to the highest of standards with herringbone flooring, underfloor heating and beautiful kitchens and bathrooms.

All owners will be able to enjoy the landscaped gardens and will also have their own parking space.

Managing director of Alskea Ltd, Martin Brannigan, states: “Following the successful sale of new homes in Donegall Park Gardens, we transformed The Chapel into four beautiful apartments that truly speak for themselves.

“With a focus on maintaining original features, we wanted to enhance what was there whilst including a modern finish.

“Each apartment has its own unique individual features and characteristics; some include double or triple ceiling heights, original window frames, bell tower, viewing gallery and views right across Belfast and beyond.”

The Chapel development is on the market with selling agents Simon Brien Residential. The estate agency highlighted that Alskea Ltd preserved the building so it can be enjoyed by future generations: “It is exceptional to see the rejuvenation of a landmark historic listed building to create an exclusive living environment.”

“This will both preserve the building for the future and provide unique homes with magnificent architectural features for the new residents. There has been an exceptional level of interest and we anticipate that all four residences will sell quickly.
